I called my sis in Tx. 3 days into what turned out to be power outages in thousands of homes, closed interstate 80 and took down high lines like broken matchsticks and she said there was nothing in the Dallas newspaper or on tv about it! We went to a motel 20 miles form here and just barely got a room in time before they filled up.
1500 volunteers from several states including Ga. andKentucky came to help get power up but many areas without it for 12 days and some still don't have it. Nursing Home here blew out their only generator when they got it installed after 4 days without power to some parts of the Home!Trees down all over the N. half of the state and they too took out power lines. I cannot believe this was not in national news. Did your state report it at least to a modest degree! One thing about it, it really brings out the good in people you don't even know. Some took all our meat to their generater powered house til we returned.
