Whew! I saved her, but I lost my my arm to the seven headed dragon.
I first learned of my damsel in distress from the local wise man. He told me to go to the Land of Dark Waters and find the Master of the Island of Breed. So I went. I traveled for many month is a northwesterly direction; through wilderness and dangers. I finally came to the coast of Dark Waters, and there in the distance I could see the Island of Breed. I striped myself of my clothes and tied them and my belongings in a bundle and began to swim the distance. When I was halfway between the shore of the mainland and the shore of the Island of Breed, I felt something strange in the currents below me. Just as I had dismissed the thoughts of terrible sea creatures, a great sea serpent lifted its head above the water and stood towering above me. When the serpent struck towards me, I quickly dodged tout of the way. The second time he struck towards me, I dove into the water. He began to wrap me in his large, slithering coils. I managed to free one of my arms and retrieve my small hunting knife from my bundle. I began to dig into the serpents flesh. What at first may have only felt like a small pain to the sea creature was now beginning to have a sting to it. He loosened his grip just enough for me to come loose and break to the surface. When he struck at me for a third time, he struck in blind anger, and blind he became when I struck him with my hunting knife. The sea serpent left me alone after that, seeing that I was too difficult a prey for such a small morsel.
When I arrived at the Island of Breed, people swarmed around me cheering, for they had seen the battle I had given the sea serpent that terrorized their fishing industry. They took me to the Master of the island and he fed me many good things to eat. After dinner had been eaten and the dishes cleared and the smoking pipes had been brought out, I told him of my difficult journey and it's purpose. He then told me of his daughter who was held captive in a deep cave by a seven-headed dragon.
And now, the girl is my wife. And I am her one armed husband.
