Yes fear is in the mind. Animals have minds too! Haven't you ever seen an animal sleeping? Their little ears twitching and eyes moving beneath their eyelids? They're dreaming. You can't dream without a mind!
Anyway, fear is an instinct that's built into all animals, man included. it's a survival instinct: fight or flight. This comes in handy in the wild when you have to be cautious & watch out for dangerous predators. There are times you have to be ready to fight the danger or flee from it. The problem with us humans is that we never really lost this survival instinct. Even though we're not in the wild & usually not in danger of predators, we still feel fears. They are usually irrational fears based on imagined dangers. We are a neurotic bunch! We worry about things that may never happen. We worry about things that even if they did happen, they wouldn't kill us. We stopped being hunter-gatherers but our minds still held onto this ancient animal instinct...

Animals consciousness is a screen which reflect our fears...they adopt human's characteristics and it had been noticed...it had been said that human have a dominion over other earthly kingdoms. In that light it would be true...Animals reflect our consciousness with an ability to love and to fear...

every living thing has a mind try swatting a fly who is the slow one, a gold fish has a 15 second memory( f nows how they found that one out)but apparently this is why it never goes giddy it keeps thinking oh what a lovelly view never been ere before,
Memory is to have a mind, also animals do not forget how can they not forget if they do not have anything to forget with,

I am convinced animals, WITHOUT THINKING, instinctively react to their outside stimuli having the cognition of pain not fear.

animals have sometimes better instincts that we as humans do.
people who produce fear into others emit something that animals pick up on. animals can sense things that we can't.
