Sure, I do feel that way a lot of times also. Think about it. I am the only girl and i have three brothers that gang up on me and my parents always believe them and take their side and compliment them and all. I never hear something to make me happy. It's alright really. I don't mind.
A good thing to do to become like your sis is surely to copy her. Like in her actions, the way she behaves, and such. Im sure its something that she has that you dont that your parents like her. But then again, it may be natural, so I suggest that you dont worry about it. It's not really worth the effort and setdowns. Believe me, I get whipped for trying to be like my brothers.

I wonder what your sister does for a living. To be honest I don't think any parent dreams their son will one day become a rapper, singin' 'bout his bitches and ho's. To answer your question, yes.
This is how it is in my family:
My brother the oldest, is the favorite. He got divorced and sponged off my mother for 10 years before he finally moved out. He bought dinner but never paid a bill, never picked up after himself, never did a damn thing to help her with the upkeep of the house or her car or those things a man should do.
My sister is the middle child. She is married with kids, earned her certificate in business, is the owner of a profitable business, owns a home, she happy and doing great. My mother sees those kids on holidays and special ocassions and only calls my sister when she needs something. Mom feels that sis is married and doesn't need her.
Me, I am the baby, who due to an asshole, had to take her two kids and move to the curb or into her mother's house. Mind you it was a very very difficult decision for her to let me move in here with my kids. I buy all the food, I clean the house, I cook most of the meals, I pick up after her and my kids, my son mows the lawn, takes out the garbage, shovels the show, puts the dishes away, I even put an alternator in her car because she didn't have the money to take it in to be fixed. Now, I only work part time because I decided that since I was living here it might be a good time for me to go back to college and make something of myself. I do what I can in terms of money, I can't pay all the bills but I pay some. Now to my mother, I am nothing but a pain in the ***. She can't wait until I move out, she's sick of my kids being here when I go to my classes two nights a week, nothing I do is right or good enough and of course, I never know what I am talking about.
I said the other day, "Mom, in May I am going to be the first person from our family to graduate from college!". Ya know what she said, "Well, if Nancy (her friend's crazy daughter) can do it, you can". What a B.
That's the problem with me and my sis, never any positive reinforcement, no encouragement, no loving words, nope not for us. But for the piece of crap son, only good things and he can do no wrong, he is the perfect perfect son.
I have learned that my mother is a bitter woman with a critical attitude when it comes to me. I blow it off and just remember that in 3 more months...

I'm sure your parents love you deeply! I bet your parents don't understand rap music either but that doesn't mean its not good they just don't understand it. Everyone relates to each other differently. I bet your sister is just more average in personality so your parents know how to talk with her where you are an artist and express yourself artistically and they are not sure how to respond to you in a way you feel it or express to you the kind of love in your language that you would understand. Just be true to yourself and know that they love you they really do!

Speaking as a Mom I can tell you that parents love all their children equally. However everyone has a different personality which makes it easier for parents to get along with kids whose personalities are a lot like their own.I love my kids for their own individual selves. I may be able to interact easier with ones whom I can understand more but it doesn't mean I like them any better, so just don't try to be your sister. you are YOU find out who YOU are and be comfortable with that and you will find you will get on better with everyone else. be happy :-)

All you can do is be yourself, she obviously loves to be the center of attention. You shouldn't compare yourself with family, this will only bring you pain. When you become a rapper you can use all your experiences in your lyrics and be awesome like eminem.

They have proved this somehow but parents actually have a favourite child. So to bad for you I guess.
