If anyone can help please, my friends mother has Alzheimer's & she has been saying the word "Annawetock" & I looked it up & all I could find is that they are some Islands in the South Pacific, but nothing else. She thinks maybe her dad was there during the war & wonders if her mom is trying to remember something.
Any information would be greatly appreciated !

If I am not mistaken, they did some nuclear bomb testing there in the late 40's. I did find one article online. There was fighting there during WWII.
