This is really meant just as an observation. The name of the channel appears to be at odds with its content.
Then, of course, there's so-called 'reality TV'. If that's reality .....

It's about trying to appeal to the widest market and series like 'Most haunted' are really successful and therefore keep the channel afloat. The other part of Living TV is alot of American imports like 'Greys Anatomy' or 'Wil and Grace' again just trying to appeal to a widest mass. It is annoying because what will happen is one format will come out prove to be popular and then get constantly rehashed and tweaked around (with the same formulaic foundation) ad nausem, Unfortunately that is TV in general, not just Living TV!

I think the bigger question is, what makes so many people watch these programmes?
Death is the only certain, unavoidable thing that happens to us, that we share. People fear the unknown. I think people are trying to familiarise themselves with their own mortality, though not necessarily in an obsessive or even conscious way.
The same can be said of our interest in serial killers and murder mysteries.
Also, it's easy entertainment and with limited taxation on the brain!

Don't watch it. Much too depressing. Keep watching Fools and Horses instead.
