I'm just wondering how many ppl out there have taken pain meds or other C class drugs during pregnancy and how things turned out. I have had to take Tylenol 3 throughout my pregnancy so far and am just worried. Thanks.

i had to take vicodin while i was preggers 14 years ago and things turned out fine for me. i think the main thing is to take as little as you can possibly can and still manage your pain. my daughter was almost 7 lbs at birth and had no health problems at all, she is now 14 and is 5'7". your dr would not prescribe the meds if they were not needed.

I am 15 weeks and 4 days pregnant and was prescribed Tylenol 3 last Thursday because I had to have an emergency wisdom tooth extraction.
My OB had to okay this before the dentist was able to prescribe it.
Tylenol 3 is safe to take in moderation

I only had to take it a few times during pregnancy (tylenol 3), I also had to take phenergan throughout my whole pregnancy, which is a nausea medication that knocks you out. My baby turned out perfect, I wouldn't worry too much about it hun....and good luck :)

Well the medication I have to take is vicoden and oxycontine which are extremely strong and can be dangerous but due to my disabling medical conditions I really have no choice but my Ob sent me to a genetisist for a consultation on the possible effects on my lil boy I try not to take them unless the pain is unbareable but luckily so far my baby is healthy and strong I am in my 28th week and my boy is very active. If you are concerned talk with your Ob and see exactly how they feel about it and see if you can cope without the medication as much as possible...Good luck

I was prescribed percocete through out my pregancy because I had to have my appendix taken out when I was 3 months pg. Everything was ok thankfully. If the doctor's prescribing it, it's for a reason. Everything should work out just fine. Best of luck to you!

I did in my first trimester. But that was because i got bit by a hobo spider on my behind and i couldn't sit down. or do anything. Just make sure your dr. knows that. So they can keep an eye on you and your baby.
