I've been told my voice is boring, monotone and that I don't speak up loud enough. How do I fix this, I also feel that I just can't keep peoples attention, what do I do?

Ur not boring. It's just that they are wild party animals so they want u to be the same. Don't change, but if you want to change, Do you have the Sound recorder in your computer? You can record different types of tone with your voice and check out which one sounds best I guess.

well, some people are just like that and i dont know if htere is a way ot fix it. but good for u! u know what's wrong and ur aiming ot fix it...that's the first step...to get people's attention u dont need 2 impress them really with stunts and things. just think about what that person likes and begin conversation on that...if they like books, discuss what types of book they've read recently or something like that. and also, listening is just as important as talking. if u listen to them, they'll probably do the same. and keep eye contact so u at least act like ur interested in what they say as well as what u say...good luck!

My voice used to be the same way.
I took a Speech course in college, and it was very embarrassing to hear the negative feedback from my classmates and Instructor. The good news is, it got me motivated to change the way I speak.
Try exercising for starters--the way you are forced to breathe in and out when you get your heart rate up changes the tone of your voice and makes you aware of your breath.
Get some books on voice and consider taking a Speech course, too.
Good luck.
