well lets see:
The Godfather
The shaswshank redemption
Seven samurais
Citezine kane
L.A Confedential
Scarface
Dog day afternoon
The shining
any of Martin Scorsese films
It's a wonderful life
The elephant man... and the list goes on and on
These movies are already perfect and they would be impossible to beat so they should be just left alone and if ever a big hollywood company decides to go that low i would be the first one to boycote their film.
Adios Amigos.

A great movie can be remade into a so-so copy, but what scares me more is the thought of making a really bad movie twice.
I'd rather eat sticky popcorn off the theatre floor than watch remakes (or the originals) of these movies.
From Justin to Kelly
Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector
Howard the Duck
Gigli
Freddy Got Fingered
Two thumbs up?!?

There are obvious ones like "The Wizard of Oz" and "Gone with the Wind" that WILL NOT ever be remade, but when it comes to movies that are great, but have a chance to be remade, here are my top three:
1) A Streetcar Named Desire
2) Rebel Without a Cause
3) Some Like it Hot (The Monroe movie, not the Bob Hope one)

1) Gone With the Wind
2) Godfather I, II and III
3)As Good as it Gets
4)It Could Happen to You
5)Pretty Woman
6)The Dead by John Houston
7)Grapes of Wrath
8)Inn of the Sixth Happiness
9)Lord of the Rings (All of them)
10)Torchsong Trilogy
11)The Doris Duke Story
12)Imitation of Life
13)Spartacus
14)El Cid
15)Priscilla Queen of the desert
16) Lawrence of Arabia
17)the French Connection
18)The world According to Garp
19)Dr. Zhivago
20)The Elephant Man
I figure that 20 of them proves my point...and none of these would or could be done justice by a remake...in my humble opinion...and this is only a thumbnail sketch of the films running though my mind
Thanks

Any great film. Only films that have good premises but were badly executed should be remade. As history has shown, whenever you remake a great movie you're guaranteed to fall flat on your face.

Classic movies like Casablanca, Streetcar Named Desire, An Affair to Remember, Citizen Kane, African Queen, etc. Those are classics for a reason, and no remake would ever live up to the originals in my opinion.

Ben & J Lo were bad enough the first time around!!
It was a mistake to make this movie the first time around muchless a remake of it.
