There is one in Georgetown Indiana and a twin drive in down in Somerset Ky too. The first movie I saw at the Drive in was Superman. Then I went to the other side and saw Cheech and Chong. Boy that screwed me up.

I love love your question !!!! I live 100 miles from the nearest Drive-in movie but I go at least once a month in the summer ... I also use the many on-line Drive-in movie databases to locate a open Drive-in to visit on my vacations around the country.
I think there may be a revival of Drive-in's ..one of the Drive-ins I visit upstate sells out weekly in the summer.
If I ever hit the lottery I plan on opening a Drive-in!

It depends where you live
I was stationed in Jacksonville,FL and we had one around the corner. It was the best.7 dollars a car load,no matter how many people you squeeze in.It had 3 screens, so you can start at 8pm on screen 1 and move at the end of your first movie to a different screen until you watched all 3 movies. It was the best.
Now I am home in N.J. and there is one around here and one set up on the Jersey shore.
So keep your eyes open, drive ins are coming back. Thanks for the flashback

We love to go when ever we can in the summer. We have three theaters with-in an hour drive. According to a news article I saw on the news last year they are increasing in popularity again. Let's hope they stay!!! I can't imagine childhood without experiencing a drive in.

I hope Drive-Ins make a comeback! It was so fun to go to a movie in your pyjamas on a warm summer night. There is one in my town in Alberta, Canada...but it closed down last year.

There is one in Las Vegas, New Mexico called the Fort Union Drive-In. We used to have so much fun there! It IS still open, though I have not been there in years.

They just tore down the last one in my area, but the good news is they are going to build a new one to open in 2008 or 2009.

There is one about an hour outside of Dallas, in Ferris?. I drive by on my commute to Houston. People must go as it is still open, with the latest titles. My first movie (DRIVE INN) was Poltergeist!!!!!

I think there is still one in Chester, WV. We went there alot when I was a kid, I haven't been there for about 6-7 years though. It was so fun and cheap too!
