my brother is a restaurant owner. so he hired me and my best friend to work there. (his 22). i've been working there for nearly 8 months and my friend has been working for maybe 3. one day we were hanging out and went to IHOP. she told me that she liked my brother. (shes 17 going on 18). i don't mind hearing this from other people but just the thought of my bro and my best friend going out grosses me out :o am i worng to feel that way? i mean it would be cool if she was my sister-in-law but come on......yeeew!!!! plz post what u think. I married my friend's brother. It was kind of weird cuz we didn't really date. We just met, hung out, and got engaged within 6 weeks. Okay now I'm probably scaring you. But either way, i think she was weirded out at first.... but now it's all good! We've been married for 6 years.

I totally understand. I mean he is your brother, older as a matter of fact. So you know all the gross stuff he does and did to you most likely. And just because he's your brother and it's just gross to think that someone likes your brother. I mean, someone, your best friend, who is so close to you to have a crush on your older bro. My borther and my best friend hooked up and i thought it would be cool for her to be my sis in law, now i don't talk to them much at all because she done alot of things to hurt my bro and yet he stayed with her so i no longer have my best friend and don't have a good relationship with him anymore either. I wish i had turned around when she told me that she liked my bro and told her to stay away as much as i loved her, i didn't want my bro to get hurt. I think it should be a rule that best friends bro's and sis should be off limits.

Don't you want your friend and your brother to be happy? Why would you stand in the way of that?

Don't let them go out because just how girls shouldn't date their brothers friends... brothers shouldn't date their sisters friends because if they get into a fight she is not going to want to come over your house or even want to go to work and he is not going to want her around either and that will just put you in a bad position and to top it off that is gross seeing your best friend and your brother kiss sick thank god my brother is married lol

i would feel funny about it too. especially because at her age it's not very likely that it will last and you could lose a friend in the process. not to mention it's bad business to mess with the boss. not to mention your brother sounds like he's probably very mature (since he owns his own restaurant at that young of an age) and probably wouldn't go for someone so young (all though i could be wrong of course i don't know your brother so who knows) i would just explain to her that you would hate to lose her friendship if things got ugly or went sour between the two of them and you would appreciate it if she didn't go after him out of respect for you and your friendship. just my opinion though it's completley up to you.

it is natural for you to feel that way , it's easier if she was your brother's gf then you became friends but the other way around .... yeah it will really feel weird but she's your friend so be a friend and support her . you both know her and your brother . is there something she should watch out for when it comes to your brother ? same with your bro , is there any reason the two of them couldn't make it work if they do get involved ? it's going to be weird but .... just be there for her ........

I wouldnt like it too much, if she started dating your brother you may not see her as often or maybe even lose her as a friend. Dont say anything to your brother and see where it goes.

Theres nothing wrong but ...to think about it it is kinda gross seeing ur friend and ur brother together but i mean if the like eachother why not? i mean, if they love eachother (if he liked her 2)you can't set them apart because its just gross...i think its normal for you to feel that way

That can also put you in a very akward situation. If they ever talk about one another or what to know what the other one is saying!!! And if they ever break up how would you feel then!!!
