I live in Missouri and was wondering if anyone who has one lives in the area. I need to know if they get good reception in the city and and rural areas. Also how bad are the antenna headphones, and are there any alternatives.

From Missouri, the satellite signal comes from almost straight up, but slightly to the north. As long as you have a clear view to the sky, you should have no problems with reception. I wouldn't go jogging through a heavily wooded area with it unless you're near a repeater, usually in major metropolitan areas/cities. It's also not so great indoors, i.e. walking around the mall unless you're near a repeater since you don't have an unobstructed view of the sky. The nice thing about the Stiletto that sets it apart from any other satellite radio is that it is able to connect to a WiFi access point and stream the satellite radio stations over the internet. This is great when you're indoors at the office, gym or wherever and can't get a good satellite signal. It's also easier on the batteries than picking up the satellite signal is. Of course, you can set it up to record content ahead of time plus MP3s just in case you get into a bad signal area without WiFi you'll still have something to listen to.

The antenna headphones aren't that bad. The alternative would be to use the built in headphones but the reception will suffer, especially if you're not near a repeater. Your body can block the signal but since you're in the midwest, you'd have less of a chance of this than others since the satellites are so high in the sky where you are.

i might have faith that as long as you're close to the window, you're able to desire to be waiting to %. up satellite tv for pc indicators. this is not allowed besides the undeniable fact that it could artwork and no person may be attentive to the version between a stiletto and a mp3 participant I actual have used a GPS on an airplane till now and it worked, besides the undeniable fact which you had to be next to the window. besides the undeniable fact that there are various extra GPS satellites than there are Sirius satellites. in case you basically wanna use it to play back recorded song then by potential of all potential decide for it, it extremely is carefully allowed.
