Why didn't any of the smurfs ever wonder where their mother was????

For that matter, why was smurfette the only girl?!?

I'm not sure that is the type of question that you should really be asking when watching a children's show, just like how there could be 106 male smurfs and only 3 female smurfs in the entire village (including the four preteen smurfs, Sassette and Grandma Smurf).

Were all of those smurfs supposed to be related to each other? Even more importantly, why was Gargamel & Asreal always after the smurfs? Here's an important thought that I think I should post as a question, if Wild E. Coyote could afford all of those things from Acme, why didn't he just have a pizza delivered? Thanks for the idea!

The truth is that Papa Smurf "smurfed" Mama Smurf and buried her body under Gargamel's castle, when she found out that he was "smurfing" Smurfette. The others just didn't give a "smurf" about it.

Smurfs have no females, smurfett, grandma smurf and the other little girl were the only known females. smurfett and the little girl were created using magic of "what's his name" the wizard with the cat??
Don't know how grandma smurf came into being.

once they said in the cartoon that you only get new smurfs when theres a blue moon. Maybe they just appeared out of the blue moon beams.

I believe I heard he was acquitted. Something about a glove that didn't fit??? Or maybe it was a shoe. I guess I missed that episode.
