my nipple area gets darker and lighter but when there lighter they get rather large in circumfrace. the breast pain also comes and goes.

the pain comes and goes but will come back in your 3rd trimester...
As for the darkening of the nipples.. they only get worse.. I actuallly learned in my breast feeding cclass that they become darker because it helps make it easier for babies to see since it is easiest for them to disguinish between white and black.. But they will get lighter after your pregnancy and your hormones arent as high!

normaly the area gets darker and larger and stays that way. It gets like that because it is suppose to help the baby find the nipple for breast feeding.

no but i think they look lighter when they are smaller becaue they are more stretched out kinda like when your nipples are hard and they loook lighter but my nipples are darker all of the time.

100% normal, mine did the same. Trust me, your fine. It will go away right after you have the kid and be back to normal. They do get a lot larger for some women, it is b/c it is getting ready to produce milk. Very common.

It can. Mine still are. And I am 20 weeks. Most days I forget I'm pregnant until the baby moves.
