To port your phone number from T-Mobile to Helio, you need to first let the cell phone Helio know that you want to port your phone number from another provider and if they can do that. Once that is taken care of then you can activate the services at Helio and on the 9th check with Helio to make sure your phone number will be automatically ported from T-Mobile to Helio on that day.

Do not call T-Mobile and tell them you plan to switch to another provider. If you do they will cancel your account and make you pay a early termination fee before your contract expires on the 9th. Make sure to pay any oustanding balance and fees on your T-Mobile account before the cell phone number is ported.
