I completely agree. This is a fitting question, today is National Sportsmanship Day. Maybe fans and players alike who get caught up in racist nonsense can take a step back and learn the true honor and spirit of competing.

No. I dont support racism anywhere. I am a realist and I know that as long as there is differences between human beings whether it be race, sex, sexual prefrences, religion, or whatever, there is going to be hate. However the least they can do is act like they have some manners. Geese! Just because you feel a certain way about someone for reasons beyond anyones control you dont have to act like animals.

Racism in soccer/football or any sport or in society in general should never be tolerated. We are living in an age where we must all get along to further the HUMAN race, not just one race in particular. Whether you are white, black, oriental or anything else, it should not matter what color, religion or whatever. Discrimination of any kind should be outlawed and the punishment should be high. Let's all be in the human race and live and let live!

Why would I support racism. It's just wrong. I play soccer and have for almost a decade, and I get pissed when people say things to colored players because of their race and mainly because they are better than them.

Uh, supporting racism, this is one of the stupidest questions Ive seen but I like the sport a lot too but its more of a European problem than a problem with the sport. Its kinda like US in the 1950's when there was racism in basketball but it had nothing to do with basketball but the issues of the country itself. I think its getting less tthough. What does this have to do with American football though?

I don't know why this is happening. I've also noticed lately that people are only driving cars that are the same race as them. I've noticed that all white cars are being driven by white people and black cars by black people. I don't blame you for not wanting to support this racist caucus since it's 2008 and racism should be extinct.

I hate racism!
Yeah, its disgusting to see fans treat players that way. Just shows how the world still is. There is no respect even though they try to encourage it. Even PLAYERS!! mistreat others!
I hate to see that because i love soccer, and i love watching National teams play. I like seeing ALL the nations play. I hate hearing racist things about teams because of what they look like or where they are from.
Its just sad.

I dont support any kind of racism in sports or otherwise, but what most people here dont realize is that blacks, or asians, or other minorities couldnt even sit and eat or ride in a bus or stay in motels with whites in areas of AMERICA, DURING MY LIFETIME...even I rode a bus to school, watched as things got thrown at it and us as we got to school, getting called names and in fights because of the color of my skin...having problems with people of all nationalities, white, black and brown...young kids today have no idea what that was like...the ignorance of prejudice is somewhere in your own family...just look back thru your family tree...for some it isnt that far removed from this generation...

I do NOT support racism. I think it is so stupid just because of someone's color. It's like, would you throw bananas at someone if they were purple or blue? I hate it.
