to hear our babys heart beat by placing his ear on my tummy im 14 weeks pregnant and he thinks he can im not to sure ?

no he is probably hearing your heart beat. the babys heart beat is not that strong yet. but let him belive it if it makes him feel like he is bonding with the baby.

I'm sorry honey, but there is no possible way for him to hear your babies heart beat right now. Even if he does hear something right now. The only thing that it could be, is your own pause. The only way that you can hear the baby's heart beat is to go out to wal-mart, or somewhere and buy these head phone things, in the baby dept. that let you hear the heart beat, and that won't be untell you are about 5 or 6 months pregnate. No!!!! He can hear you heart beat, but even at 40 weeks he will not be able to hear babies heart beat by putting ear to tummy.

no, let me guess your a teen huh? Only a teen would ask such a question. you cannot hear the heartbeat of the baby, he might be able to hear the heartbeat of you and think its the baby though. You can buy a machine at walmart in preganancy isle, where you can listen to the heartbeat, it is like $100.00 but worth it. Go to the doctors, they will let you listent 2 it

no i have one of those fetal heart monitors you buy from the store and i couldn't even hear it with that until about 26 weeks and i am pretty thin. i am now 5'6 about 33 weeks and weigh 152 so i don't think it could be possible. alot of men really don't know what they're listening for

nope not possible. He is probably just feeling your pulse, sometimes you can have that in your stomach area. Or maybe he is just imagining it because he wants to hear it. But the only way to actually hear it is with the electronic device the doctor uses or you can buy them at the store

He's hearing your heartbeat. The same thing happened when my husband would put his head on my belly and our doc said that it was impossible to hear the baby's heartbeat through my belly.
