tailored..is always more expensive..because it is made expressly for you.
already made...can fit well..it's less expensive....and you can get it slightly tailored to fit better.....still saving money....

Its cheaper to buy clothes in a department store. To make sure you get a perfect fit you can get them tailored to fit you... and its usually only a few bucks (less than 10) to get individual pieces to fit you perfectly.

Also know that suit jackets MUST fit well, while other items dont have to fit as precisely.

Definetely ready made is cheaper anywhere around the world EXCEPT in asia. I travelled half the world just to get my business attire from Thailand cuz it was so cheap compared to back home. Sometimes if you're going to get a completely new wardrobe, its worth the price of the ticket to travel halfway across to get the clothes!

i would think the department stores...also hunt for sales. i know like macys and JCpenny have sales like every other weekend. and you can get like dress shirts (for guys) for like 15 bucks. and for gals they have great skirts and tops at low prices too.
