Is it because the ordinary person likes to get close to / be associated with a celebrity anyway s/he can?

Hey alpha, omega, infinity, its even better when the people writing the answers address the celebrities by their first name. First name basis with someone who isn't even going to read it? notice how their questions get the most stars? What a joke.

Kant's reason fits well into this category. To each their own.
My question is why do 'celebrities; even bother asking when all they get is a pool of answers which I doubt they would even read not to mention cast a good one according to them. Perhaps they are just trying to gather points for most answers gotten.
