Yes it can be. I had cramping in early pregnancy (I've had 6 children) with several of my pregnancies. It is almost like period cramps and you feel like you are going to get your period any day. I really never had any early pregnancy symptoms--morning sickness, sore breasts, headaches, ect.--UNTIL I was 2 weeks late with my period. And by the time you are 2 weeks late, you are already considered 6 weeks pregnant since they start counting from the day of your last period.

However, even though it can be an early pregnancy sign, I would not rule out other things that may cause severe or slight cramping as well. If you have cramping and several other early pregnancy signs, then I would think you very well could be pregnant, but it's always best to just take a test!

Yes. Although it is also a symptom of PMS, so it's hard to say for sure which one is causing it. An early results test (like First Response) might be able to tell if you are pregnant 5 days before your period is due! especially if you use first morning urine so you might wanna try this if you think are pregnant. Just remember, if you get a negative result on the early results test but don't get your regular period then it may have just been too early to test. Best Wishes!

No, it really isn't, unless its a miscarriage. It could be gas or the flu or any number of things. When in doubt, do a test as early as possible. They're free at planned parenthood. LOL
