I am 24 wks pregnant, and I feel like a whale. The beginning of my pregnancy was a very emotional time for me considering it was a very big surprise. I got better, but now I'm back to being a wreck.
My poor fiance has to put up with my mood swings and me randomly saying things like " Oh my God, we've ruined our lives!" I still keep getting the " What the hell did I get myself into, I want to be unpregnant" feelings. This is my first.
Anyway, lately upon all of the worries and fears for the furture, I'm a walking stick with a massive belly. I'm a very small girl, and I'm getting very uncomfortable lugging around this extra weight, plus, I feel about as attractive as a beached whale. I know this is normal, but I can't help but feel that when my fiance looks at my pregnant body he is most likely disgusted ( Although he says otherwise ). I know this is most likely in my head.
Any of you other moms feel like this? I feel my world is ending and to top it off I feel like a walking minivan!!

Wow. I didnt feel unhappy, but I did sometimes think I should have probably waited, I was 18 when I had my daughter. I gained 79 pounds, talk about unhappy. I felt like a beached whale. Things will get better. I didnt feel pregnant, either. I felt like everybody was starring at me becasue I was (felt) fat. Im 22 now, and am the very proud parent of a 3 year old daughter, and a 3 month old boy. The are the light in my life. Me and my fiance are still engaged, after 4 years. Cheer up, sweetie. Things will get better. Surely, you wanted kids, right? Well, obviously someone up above thought it was time for you to have a baby! Good Luck and Cheer up, things will get better:)

yes i do! i am 19 and 36 weeks pregnant. I was depressed when i first found out cause my boyfriend broke up with me 2 days b4 i found out. Well i was a size 0 in jeans and extra small in shirts... Uhmmm not anymore. My tummy is huge and my butt got wayyy bigger too!! my thighs are gettin there too and started getting cellulite at the top! I feel soo disgustin and makes me wicked depressed. I also have a little pain in the butt sister running around the house who is 9 that always says jesssy your getting fat!! and i just say.. No hunny im not fat.. Im PREGNANT! haha so thats what i have been living by lately. Try it! it helps. Just think about it.. If you really hate it, atleast you have an excuse for being "fat" And it will make us more determined after we have the baby we will want to lose it faster :-)

Oh my god, stop your belly aching. Your poor husband is right. It is natural to feel the way you do. I gained 65 lbs with my pregnancy. She is now 9 months old and i lost every pound of it. It will go away. That is what happens when you get pregnant. YOu need to get the book, what to expect when you are expecting, it was my bible, go to the bookstore, well worth the $$$ it was only like $20 anyways though. But go and get the book it will tell u everything, from mood swings, to how to deal with yoru husband, your feelings and it has a part for the guy to read to reasure him. I am 110 lbs, i was 175 at the end. I am back down to 109 actually. It will come off just as fast as it came on, its fine. Just dont freak about it, no wonder your hubby is having mixed feelings, you are making him unsure and scared. so knock it off, try to enjoy being preganant.

I know exactly what you are going through with feeling as big as a whale. I am also pregnant with my first and I am also a small girl but not my stomach anymore. I feel like a beached whale but I try to stay on the positive side and think of what I am getting in return for getting so big. I guess it's something that all pregnant girls go through but you have to try and stay positive and it does help if your man is there for you and comments you and treats you good. So try to think positive. Good luck.

I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH AND YOU KNOW THAT IT IS ALL PART OF HAVING A BABY. YOU WILL HAVE ALL OF THE MOOD SWINGS AND YOU FEEL THAT YOUR FIANCE IS JUST TELLING YOU THAT YOUR NOT FAT. LISTEN YOU ARE GOING THROUGH A LOT BEING PREGNANT BUT IN THE END IT WILL BE ALL OVER WITH WHEN YOU SEE AND HOLD THAT PRECIOUS LITTLE BABY YOU HAVE CREATED WITH YOUR FIANCE. AFTER YOU HAVE THE BABY THEN YOU CAN START BACK LOSING THE WEIGHT TO HAVE YOUR FIGURE AND LOOKS BACK. I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE HAD TWO CHILDREN OF MINE OWN.

ignore what your family members are saying its absolutely normal to gain weight during pregnancy they say those remarks since they have never seen you so "big" you say it your self you weighed 118 pounds(: that's totally not big! and that was before the baby so i could understand also your baby is PERFECT! he is actually not that big when babies are born they should be 6 pounds(: hope his helps and congratulation's on your baby boy

your fiance seems that he does not want to have a baby...if at all possible, you need him to SUPPORT you and to tell you how beautiful you are, he should be excited to get to have a baby...maybe he is scared...maybe you both could use some counseling on how to make each other feel better and how to avoid making each other feel worse. It is normal to feel confident if you do not have enough support.
