Unfortunately the marker pen will have re-dyed the leather and so there is nothing on the DIY basis that will remove this.

It will need a solvent to remove the marker and this will also remove the finish and pigment from your sofa (if it is a pigmented suite) which will then need replacing.

This is best left to the experts. Call a trained leather technician to do the work.


If you try to use baby wipes or nail polish remover or many other DIY remedies you will damage the finish on your leather. Baby wipes are just about the worst thing to clean leather with.

Try hairspray. If it doesn't cut through. Contact a professional cleaner or the store you purchased the couch.

can of "OFF" misquito repellant...
works like a charm
