Kegel exercises are for your pelvic muscles. Thy strenghten them and also tighten your vagina. They are esp. useful after childbirth and for women with bladder problems. They can prevent the need for surgery as you get older to lift your bladder and uterus. But for younger women the sexual benefits are worth doing them. To do them correctly you tighten up your muscles like you do when you have to get to the bathroom and have to wait. Most Dr's recommend that (if you drive) you get into the habit of doing them at every stop light. ( or TV commercials). Obviously they can be done anywhere and no one will know you are doing them. Just tighten up your muscles (like holding pee) for 10 seconds and repeat as often as you can during the day.

You'll know you're doing them right because your BF will definitely let you know. Kegel exercises tone and firm up the muscles within the vagina

Benefits are muscle control where you want it...can increase sexual pleasure (for him)...one way to do them is to stop your urine stream several times when you pee...stop, hold for a second or two, then release...stop it, hold for a second or two, then release...
You can do kegels anytime though, and if you get your butt and or abs involved, you'll get additional benefit of toning those areas as well....might as well do something constructive while you're watching TV or sitting at that red light.

The numer one benefit, if you ask moi, is that women who do them find sex more satisfying even find that that they can orgasm during intercourse.
as for the how to—this is one of those ones where the best answer really is, "just google it." there's about a thousand sites out the with much more detailed instructions that you're going to get on Yahoo Answers. not kidding.
have fun!

if you can pee and then stop the stream of pee mid flow, that's using your kegels. benefits include reduced likely hood to suffer urinary incontinence later in age, and also increased physical pleasure for your man. You have to actually do the kegels during sex though, and time them with each one of his thrusts.

benefits are: it keeps the muscles tighter which makes sex more enjoyable. it also makes labor easier. and strengthens the bladder muscles.
the best way to practice how to do them is to stop midstream while you're peeing. those are the muscles that you tighten and relax when doing the excercise. that's all there is to it just tighten and loosen them you can do it anywhere.

Pretend you are trying not to have to pea. That's the best way I can explain it. You know like when you have to go really bad and your trying to hold it. It strengths your muscles.

oh well supposedly they keep your vagina tight or something. but I doubt you need to worry about doing them unless you are a hooker or have life 4 kids I'm sure you are fine. But because you asked, they say the best way to know if you are doing it right is do them why you pee and basically sqeeze your muscles to stop the flow of urine, and hold for ten seconds, then release and then squeeze again. Okay that was nasty, lol
