Its also normal if they seem to hurt just a bit. If you play the guitar for a couple of days or weeks you might notice that your fingers might become pretty hard. Thats a good sign. When they are hard your fingers will no longer hurt. But you still might get a numbing sensation.

Yes, and if you play it enough it will form calluses on your finger tips.
