I think my vision follows your guideline, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
First, life, I believe that this country should protect the lives of all its people, even the unborn. We need to make sure that every child that is in utero has the right to be born.
Second, liberty, I believe that we need to maintain a strong military presence in the world to show those who would do us harm that we will not give in to fear and terror. We need to do this not only to preserve our liberty, but to offer it to others who have been oppressed, we need to continue our obligation to those Iraqis who are trying to better their lives, who's children are finally able to go to school without fear of disagreeing with their leadership. If we leave, that all goes away.
Third, the pursuit of happiness. America should be a country where we are able to live without excessive government regulation, taxation, and interference. We should be a land that encourages the success of individuals, not a country who punishes them with excessive taxes because of it. We should be a country that accepts people orderly dissent, and is willing to enter into honest debate rather than resorting to name calling, innuendo and outright lying. We should be a nation that instead of dividing ourselves should look to the ideals that we all share, of ours as being a great nation that can be looked to as an example of promise, hope and prosperity.

A nation free of reliance on antiquated policies and able to sustain itself via renewable energy technologies. The world leader in technology, the world leader in human rights. A strong nation that secures itself with a strong national defense, not a moronic national offense or preemptive illegal attacks. A fair tax system that doesn't give bias to those with the most money or the best legal advice that can find the easiest loopholes to get out of paying a fair share. A nation that puts education at the top of priorities. A nation that ensures all citizens have equal and fair access to health care. A nation that supports the Constitution and the basic tenets this great nation was founded on. Good enough for starters.

I know my vision is to not be run by immoral, selfish, childish, anti-life baby killers who are out of touch with reality. What have you people done for this country? Sit back and do nothing? Yep. You guys are all talk, with a bunch of flip flopping before and after. Pathetic. Liberty? HA! You don't even know what that is! You libtards have no values, no knowledge of personal responsibility, and don't support our troops. What horrible Americans you are. You are all a sad excuse for Americans. Creative question by the way...I've been LMAO all night because of these pathetic questions. Expect nothing less from the left. Why do you think they call us the right side? Answer that one for me...if ya can!
Nice come back Nomadder! The right to abort life is their goal!

My vision is a country without free spending, weak, crybaby liberals like you. America is in such a hole because of our leaders aren't we. I know that America's problems are not a result of our morally falling society or the media which probably is where the majority of people like you get all of their arsensal against the government. Stop complaining... is that all liberals know how to do? I'm sure Clinton could come in right now and turn America into the ultimate society where there are no problems ... give me a break.

For the government to actually be based on the Constitution, without the damn Republicans or Democrats being able to either conveniently ignore the parts they don't agree with, or to go to court and do an "end around" by having activist judges rule that our country's laws do NOT actually mean what they clearly state.

I lived in the US, I worked in the US, I studied in the US, then returned home to Canada. A few visits in the last three years have given me some positive feelings about the people as individuals, but have caused some worry to me about the American society as a whole.
Right now, you must find a way to deal with what most of the free world judges as a gross error: the war in Iraq. But, for the person in the street, the economy is the next serious consideration.
I know so many American families who are in debt, in debt so incredibly deep that at some point, it will all come back to bite them.
Mortgages are beginning to fail. There are signs of personal bankruptcy looming on the horizon. Consumerism is no longer a virtue; it's a dirty word. And I say that knowing that my compatriot Canadians are not far behind:
*maxed out credit cards
*maxed out lines of credit
*mortgages that are becoming impossible to pay
So many of my American friends have the feeling that owning that oversized, energy inefficient house and car are life, liberty and the fuel in their pursuit of happiness. But, they worry constantly about the day when they can no longer pay that minimum balance on the credit cards. Then what happens?
Here in Canada we want to know, because we're hot on your consumerism heels. It's going to happen to us. I can smell it.
And the troublesome thing is, that by some one person saving energy or avoiding over-consuming, others simply interpret it as the opportunity to pick up the slack.
I admire you for your question. You're one of the Americans I have faith in. I sense you recognize that living on the economical edge just ain't good.
I admire you for your social sense and sensitivity. Jails. Look at the crime rate of other countries, the Scandinavians, for example. Crime rate is low where social security is highest.
I admire your sense of global perspective. You have a vision beyond conflict.
And all that leads me to believe that my vision of American is one of a struggle toward justice and moderate lifestyle. I also realize that you're one of a small group, but you're strong in spirit and, despite what the neo cons believe, the passionately concerned are going to win.

A big wall between us and Mexico. Then another big wall in front of that wall. Between the walls will be hungry mountain lions and bears. Other than that the U.S.A. is the best.
