I'm so glad they are changing it early. I hate when it gets dark early.

Daylight Savings had a purpose during WW-II People worked around the clock, and it saved money.
I personally don't think it makes much difference any more, except possibly for the kids in the elementary school system. Other then that, and with the invention of the light bulb, I don't feel it saves us anything except a little day light. It means even less to me. I do actually live by the day light, It controls my work day...but I don't live by the clock, I live by the light. I start work at Sun up, and go home at Sun down. What time it gets light, and what time it gets dark, what time that is, means very little to me. If you live by the clock, and it makes a difference to you then I think it's still important. The only time I watch the clock is opening day of Trout Season.

When daylight savings time started out it was for the farmers to have more time to get their crops in.......that's what I was told anyway and everyone got so much more done in the daylight that it caught on and now they are going to keep it in operation earlier in the spring and longer in the fall. The supposedly good part is having more daylight available for whatever reasons people need it for.

When the sun sets later, people don't use as much energy lighting and heating their homes for the fewer hours they're awake after dark.

they are eventually going to keep daylight savings time all year round. They are doing this in phases so we get used to it.
That's what I think.

I think the purpose of it was so that it would be lighter in the morning, for the kids to go to school. If we keep standard, it would be still dark in the a.m.
