Elder wont get gong piece from under ancient floor, why not?

Have an elder, in virtual villages 2, but when I place him on the ancient floor it says more investigation is required. What more do I need 2 do?

investigate more. you might have forgotten to get something or talk to somebody or something like that. retrace your steps, you know you forgot something.
