I don't understand why people watch that stupid show.

I mean, who cares about watching a bunch of mediocre singers who never make it big. American Idol has ruined music.

This season has been the worst so far, but I still like the show and watch it every week. Also, you say no one ever makes it big off this show.......don't forget Carrie Underwood has won many many BIG awards. Whether you like country or not you can't say she didn't make it big.

No the dumbest show on TV is deal or no deal. A game show where money is just given away, you need no special talent, knowledge or ability. All yo have to do i be able to read numbers and put up with germophobe Howie Mandel. A monkey can play this game.

Some people think it makes them big to make someone else small. American Idol is a mix of these kind of people and normal people. Generally I agree it's a stupid show, but it has been good for a few people.
Do you get the National Geographic channel?

I like it. I love music and love to sing, and hear others sing.
Yes, the auditions are hilarious.
The judges make me laugh.
And I have an appreciation for music.
Not many people truly appreciate music anymore...
The people who get to LA have amazing talent and beautiful voices. That's why I watch, along with the fact this proves that your dream can come true and everything. If you have the talent, guts, and drive, anyone can achieve whatever they want.

I watched a little bit of it on Sunday (I'm in the UK), and the person being voted off had to sing again!! In front of the audience! Whilst crying!!
Cruel TV, and a sad reminder that things will only get worse if it keeps attracting viewers.

no!i only like the auditions the rest i think is stupid. the reason why people watch the auditions is because it's so funny when they mess up and there so confident there gonna make it to L.A.that makes me cry out of laughter
