He whipped the thing across the room while I was sleeping (I was pretty surprised). The thing is, I had been studying late into the night and today was a "review" day for our final. I get straight A's on his tests so I didn't feel the need to study. Now I have a huge aching bump in the middle of my head and i'm feeling pretty pissed off. Is it OK for teachers in the US to act this way? What should I do? Thanks.

Sounds like a case of thr professor is God to me.
I got a rude awakening reading a magazine one day as it was snatched out of my hand with a yelp and reprimand. No bumps for me. I was p/o too but I learned my lesson, and gave a little more respect.
