What should freedom loving Americans who want to live in peace and tolerance and harmony do about her crude remarks? Nothing? Or is exposing her bigotry to the nation punishment enough?

Ann Coulter is the classic, everyday "pretty" woman. She's conventionally pretty (by America's standards), intelligent, wealthy, and from "good stock." Unfortunately, for much of society, this gives her the opinion (and many others the opinion) that those things guarantee her the right to say idiotic / hurtful / ignorant comments and receive a "pass." We all know people like this in our daily lives - they are just far less exposed.

I say, as I say to my students, that not only is her exposing her bigotry to the nation NOT enough to "shut her down" (since much of the nation believes what she tells them), but we have to proactively make people like this understand that there is another side. Maybe I can never change Coulter's mind. But I can certainly try and expose another side to all the issues she addresses, from my side of the fence.

Women like this (and men, too) need to understand that their intrinsic values arenot enough to allow them clearance to offend / judge others.

No, I think you should be. Quit asking these idiotic questions. How many people have responded to you without telling you how you need to do some research before you run your mouth? The Hitler question? LOL! I'm not even gonna go there. That was just plain stupid. There should be limits on yahoo answers for questions like this! Sorry, can't stop laughing...

I definately think that she should be ignored. Granted she has her freedom of speech and well like or not she stated what she felt. As for her comments about John Edwards he in return chose to ignore it and moved on. Like he said it's better to ignore people who don't have nothing nice to say.

I think we should all ignore her. Don't watch her on Faux, don't buy her books, don't attend her speeches. Just turn our backs until that vile, uninformed viper goes away.
