tonight {tuesday night} is the first time i've caught the show this season, and i have to ask...
what is with all the uggo's?
i only saw the guys. are all the girls goofy-looking, too?
and am i the only one who wants to refer to them as "the mutants at table nine?"

ummm...truth be told, most of the singing was pretty bad, too. so what's the deal with the ones who are ugly AND can't sing? {and that was most of them, by the way.} why are they there?

I am really disappointed in the contestants this season too. I don't really care what they look like, not that they shouldn't be some good eye candy to look at, I am just too old I guess! lol
I haven't seen a lot of great talent here either. TO ME, the person that represents america as the one we idolize, he or she should be good looking and sound good too. Yes, looks are important, no matter how talented you are!

Well... it's not a beauty competition... and that's what's gotten us into this mess with all the bad singers.
Blake is amazing. He started off a bit off pitch tonight but pulled it together much better than most of the other guys.
Sanjaya is much too young for this competition. He needs more time to settle into himself and figure out what he's all about. His performances have been quite dull and he needs to be going home.
Chris S is pretty good. He has a tendency to sing the "lesser known songs" and I think it works to his advantage because we're not comparing him. He's one of the few that have held their own throughout.
Sundance had yet another bad night, which is sad cause last week he was pretty good. I think he over did it with his voice tonight.
Phil was absolutely terrible tonight. And he looked like a 70 yr old man (says my hubby) with that stupid hat.
Chris R actually was one of the few that sang on pitch, so I have to give him props for that. I didn't like his song choice, and he's not one of my favorites, but at least he can sing.
The others didn't leave a lasting impression with me. Let's hope the girls do a better job tomorrow night!

First of all, look at how shallow you're being. Here's something - you don't have to be gorgeous (guy OR girl) to sing and succeed on AI.
Second, not ALL of the guys are ugly, and even those that are, most of them have AMAZING voices. This is a SINGING competition, honey, and what matters is that they have talent, not that they could be models.
I'm sure you'll be disappointed if you watch tomorrow as well, because one of the girls is a mother, and overweight. No one's perfect, so stop judging these things by how they look, and listen to the voices.
These people have amazing talent. If you can't see that, I suggest you stop watching AI.

If this is the first night you watched, then no wonder you were disappointed. Tonight they all pretty much did very bad. Many of them can sing, but they sure did not show this tonight. They just had a really bad night. The girls are much better than the guys.

The show is based on their ability to sing not on their looks.

ahha eyah .. btw i hope that annaotlla go out .. she cant sing has an attitude and shes not even pretty
