I was told the three main chords I need to learn to begin playing guitar are C, G, and D. I think I've got those chords down. Does anyone know a good song I can learn that uses these chords?

Bonus if you can point to the music on the web!

Good Riddance, Time of Your Life...you know that Green Day song. It uses G, D, Cadd9 (it's a real easy chord) and Em (that's also really easy)

Cadd9 - x32022
Em - 022000

the picking might be tricky but in the end it's a really easy song and tons of fun to play

why did you learn those chords first? get a chord chart and learn all the majors and minors until you can change between them easily and play them without muting or buzzing notes. then get some real lessons. there are methods, techniques and theories that are very difficult to learn any other way. as for songs with the chords you know... just about any blues song that has a I-IV-V progression can be transposed to fit those chords. keep pickin

knockin on heaven's door by bob dylan is those 3 chords
< g < g all it is is.
just listen to anyversion of it to pick up the rythym.

the intro to ziggy stardust is pretty much g d c. in different variations. go to a tab universe site. you'll be surprised how many songs can be played with just these three chords. once you learn A and E, there is no stopping you. you'll be able to play every hootie and the blowfish song ever and almost ever ac/dc song.
