No, the trade deadline is the day when no more trades can be made. Players however can be signed as free agents if they have no team. Players can also be waived off a team or assigned or recalled to the National Basketball Development League (NBDL)

No. The trade deadline is after the all star break no trades can be done after. though you can still sign free agents or bring up players from the developmental league. also you have to finalize your roster before the playoffs start.

although teams can still sign free agents, players who dont have live contracts with other teams (like scottie pippen)
