Have you thought of going back to college on a part - time basis?
Sorry I always put a plug in for everyone to get an education

I would paper you area in resumes
I would certainly use all of the available on-line resumes places and read the papers. One would be surprised at how much is really out there for people who really want to work and who have good work ethics to get a good and decent job.
You may check with say the RV places or even go to a place like say Best Buy
I saw today that a company who has a contract with the places like that has a needs for someone to sell, clean, maintain the equipment, to sell --to teach the customers how to use the products and to teach the company to sell the items while you are not there. etc Sounds complicated but really it is not that bad
good luck for you and family-will find what you need to do

no wonder you can't find a job. an income of 90-120K without a college education? those type of jobs are not that easy to come by nowadays. i mean, some people have TWO college degrees and make less than 1/2 that. unless, you don't mind taking a serious cut in pay, i would think you would want to continue your car dealership career. that is where your strengths are and where you have years of experience. if you go seeking another career and tell people you have absolutely no experience or knowledge in that particular area but want to make 120K they'll probably laugh at you. i think you have a couple of options: 1. continue seeking car dealership jobs and post resumes on monster.com, careerblazers.com and hotjobs.com etc.or even find a headhunter if there is such headhunters for your type of work. 2. go to school and get a certificate, or associates degree at a community college in a field that interests you,- a relatively quick way to jump start another career.

good luck

No man, I am serious, you are screwed if you quit your job. I understand about the whole family thing, I am a manager myself and I fully understand working 12 to 15 hour days, not getting credit for my work, not getting to see my family and friends, not really having a life, etc. However I took a look around, didnt like where I was at, and stepped down. I am still the manager, just not the head manager. I am in charge of a smaller area of the place I work at now, and though I still have stress from work, and yeah I work almost every weekend, I get to see my family and friends a lot more now.

You dont have to quit your job, you just have to flip off your pride and take a step down. Even if it means you wont be any kind of manager, atleast you will still be with your company, and the odds of them slashing your pay is very little. I mean yeah you will have to take a cut in pay, but it wouldnt be slashed. Your experience and time in the place you work would make sure to that alone. Job security is the best benifit of all, and I think if you are willing to take a pay cut for another job, then you should be willing to take one at the place you work at.
