How many choctaw indians died on the trail of tears?

PS. Just to clear things up, I am not saying the Choctaw ere the only ones forced to march. I am doing a project about the CHoctaw, and the Cherokee info is not of any use to me.

4000 Cherokees died as a result of the removal known as the trail of tears.. go to google.com and type in trail of tears and click on the 3rd one down and it will give you the sad story

There were several tribes that walked the "Trail of Tears" not just the Choctaw. Most notably the Cherokees who lost the most people.

There are several site on THE TRAIL OF TEARS. Here are a few, you can also go to www.ask.com and put in trail of tears and it will give you lots more. The ones I found have different numbers from 2,000 to 4,000, but it's probably more than that when you consider the number of tribes that were involved.
