What happens if you use Media Mail to send something that doesn't qualify and you get caught.?

You would have violated the Federal Postal Regulations and would be in trouble with the Postal Inspector. Likely the fine is enormous and perhaps even jail time for a willful violation. I would not mess with the Postal Inspector. Use Priority Mail instead for just a couple of bucks more. I am sure you would not walk into a store and steal merchandise. Why would you do that to the Post Office?

They will hang you up by your thumbs and whip you with a wet noodle. Seriously, you shouldn't be asking how to break the law. It is never worth it.
