Other than the fact that since I was a young child, I pictured myself marrying another woman - I would have to say that, knowing my whole family would disown me once I came out (due to being born into an extremely devout religious household), choosing to be gay just seemed like the perfect fairytale ending. Who CHOOSES to be gay? I sure didn't - always have been attracted to other females - NO CHOICE in the matter...

I'm bored, so I'll play along.

How did I choose to be gay. Hmm. Well, it was between that or straight. I couldn't decide, what a difficult choice!! Then one day, I happened upon this site, the LGBT section in particular. It was then that I knew I would choose to be gay. What about this site made me choose that? Well, it was on this site that I learned the truth...

Straight people are stupid.

Why anyone thinks I would "choose" to be gay is beyond me. Do you think the funny looks gays get are FUN? Do you think we like being called fags or dykes, and being told to burn in hell?

Please. I didn't choose anymore than the straight people did.

Well I woke up one morning and I said to myself, I said "Chris, I want to be hated. Now what's a good way to get myself hated by small minded idiots, seeing as I'm white and middle class? I know! I'll be gay!" And that's how I choose to be gay.

It's not a choice one actively makes. Maybe it's biological maybe it's caused by something, but it certainly is not a choice. No one would make that choice because there are people like you.

I didn't choose to be anything.
I knew at a very early age that I was a lesbian.

When I was 13 non the less. When all my friends had these boys they lusted over. I was sitting in class looking over at the girl I thought was pretty. I'd look at boys but I wouldn't feel nothing like "Like oh boy I'd like to be his girlfriend", what was going on in my mind was he's ugly and I don't like him. Same went on for the other boys. Now girls I always caught myself looking at girls thinking they was pretty and sweet and that I'd love to date them and kiss them.
