According to the US Dept of Labor, the average annual earnings of wage and salary architects were $60,300 in May 2004. The middle 50 percent earned between $46,690 and $79,230.

Those just starting their internships can expect to earn considerably less.

From what I understand (from a good friend who just started in architecture). You get a Bachelor's degree... then you get a crap job making like 30-35K. Then you get a master's degree and start making a whole lot more.... He didn't quantify a whole lot more, but I'm assuming it's fantastic.
