Has anyone ordered a guitar online from GuitarCenter or any place else? When you received it through the mail, was it in good condition? Is buying a guitar online a good thing to do?

I've always preferred to handle, play, and inspect the instrument before buying. Buying strings and accessories on-line is one thing, but not buying the instrument unless you have personal handling knowledge of it and know how it will feel and react to your playing style.

Crucial will be the feel of the neck, its width, and playing action.

I own 5 guitars. 3 Electrics. Epiphone Casino, Les Paul Custon and ESP KH-2. 2 Martin acoustics. Bought all from Musicians Friend. However, I played the same models at a guitar store before buying to make sure of the sound and playability for me.

It's dangerous to buy a guitar online, cuz you never know if it's what you want. Although i never had so I couldn't really tell you what to do.
