I am having a problem connecting to xbox live though everything on the list is confirmed.

dont use wireless and use a ethernet cable

I would suggest getting an Ethernet cable instead. Not only is it as easy as plug and play, but you get the fastest and best connection possible, you get no disconnection or interferance (unless the power goes out) or any hassel that you have to put up with the wireless. Seriously, I love wireless and all, heck I got a wireless headset along with all wireless controllers, but for a pure broadband connection, wireless is so much faster (as of right now)

If the 360 did not find anything wrong with your connection and you already tried the obvious stuff like turn it off and on, reset your router, and reset the cable modem then you may have to contact Microsoft to verify your account.
