I did not explain my question as clearly as i should have. let me start over. Had been working for a public company since january 2006. company adopted a 12 point tardy system in June and whatever points were accumulated beforehand were transferred over and were to expire on january 2007. I had fell ill in the employee parking lot and passed out in my vehicle on 12/15/2007. Other employees who worked with me said that they tried to open the door and banged on the windows, but i was unresponsive. said employee went to my manager and told her and she got her manager to come down to the lot to see what was wrong. eventually i had came around and managed to exit my car. i started to cough up a little, but i was ok. my manager and her manager walked me into the building. on 12/23/2006, i was discharged because i went over the attendance point limit and i did not have any medical leave accrued. file for unemployment but was denied benefits. my health is getting worse now. what do i do?

I can explain all of my tardies at that job. the main reason that i did not seek out medical help was because i did not have any medical coverage. was eligible for medical in march of 2006 and elected for it but a blunder tru united healthcare sent me the cards but i could not use them since they said i had no coverage. my manager was fully aware of this situation. i had called them several times and got the situation somewhat resolved in october. website still stated that i did not have any coverage. all of my previous absences were from my college schedule and moving from my old apartment to my parents house 20 miles away from work and moving back to within 2 miles of work. and the road to my parents house being washed out.( they live in Christmas, FL for anyone familiar with the area.) the situation with the road being washed out, i had immedietly contacted my manager and she told me not to dwell on the situation since it was still under the 12 point limit.
