This is an urban myth. There haven't been any reported cases of this actually happening.
First of all, the HIV virus can not survive outside of the body for more than a few moments. It would be next to impossible to get enough infected blood on a needle to allow the virus to survive long enough to infect someone in this manner.
Second, AIDS is not the virus. AIDS is a condition in which ones t-cell count falls below 200, usually as the result of prolonged infection with the HIV virus.
