i don't know what to call it, but more months since summer i think my hair DOESN'T exzackly fall out,but the problem is i can pull out locks of hair with no pain or with little feeling.just so you know i do not have that disorder, because i only pull out my hair once and a while to see if it's gotten stronger.also, the ends that used to be in my scalp are sometimes white and other times black.my hair isn't completly loose, because it still makes the ripping noise.nobody believes me!only my brother, since I showed him.the reason i wouldn't call it hair loss,is because i never seem to loose that much hair.I'm nearly 18 and female.hope it helps.

If you're a frequent user of hair care proucts that can definately weaken your hair, for the next months or two, lay off the straighteners, blow dryers, hair spray etc.

Also, do you use herbal Essences? I found when I used that for a long time continually, my hair fell out more easily as well. try switching shampoos and conditioners and buy a well trusted product, such as Dove.

Take a multivitamin, it can provide the vitamins necessary to strong hair growth and drink more calcium.

If you don't find it gets better with in the next month or so, see your doctor, they can probably help you.

How often do you condition your hair? You shouldn't do it more than once a week. It ruins the elasticity in your hair. It will just break instead of stretch. It is normal to loose up to 100 hairs a day. I know it sounds crazy but is true. Most eye lashes and brows are pulled out easily because they are not very dead under the skin.

You should stop pulling on your hair and start taking vitamins. Everyone sheds and when a hair is ready to fall out it may be already loose. Also, you may just have high pain tolerance on your scalp. Some people are very sensitive to hair pulling and others aren't. Either way, it would be a good idea to stop pulling them out.

Do you frequently use a straightening or a curling iron? If so i would use it less often because they both dry out your hair and cause the cells to die allowing you to rip it out easily. But then again are u relly relly stressed? That could be causing this.

Hope this is helpful to you but i would ask your doctor.
