I have to do an article review. I have been out of school for 11 years. grammar stinks. I have a learning disability and I am GOING CRAZY. Anyone willing to look it over? Is it considered plaigerism? I have spent HOURS on this! Any English teachers/majors that can help?http://www.wyff4.com/encyclopedia/6860676/detail.html
This is my summary:
Torticollis is a medical condition that effects the neck muscles. The head is tilted toward one side, and the chin is raised and turned toward the opposite side. It can be hereditary, caused
from damage done to neck muscles, or unknown. Congenital torticollis is caused by the head being positioned wrong in the uterus, injury of the muscles or blood supply to the neck. Some symptoms include stiff and/or enlarged neck muscles, headache, neck pain, tremor, raised shoulder and unevenness of infants head. Relief can come by applying heat or messaging neck, using neck brace, stretching neck muscles and medication.

(rest of summary) Although temporary, a botulinum toxin injection may give a great deal of relief. As a last resort, an operation can be performed on patients as young as preschool age.
The article is organized, easy to follow and very informative. It would have been better if the author added an illustration. A picture would add a little more understanding for someone who does not have any previous knowledge of the disease. Knowing a little about torticollis myself, I know there is more information that can be shared, such as, deep brain stimulation as another form of treatment, torticollis can be crippling, if severe it falls under cerebral palsy.
I understand more about the disease. I did not know congenital torticollis exists so it makes me want to study it more. This article will benefit people who have been having problems with their neck or parents of children with a tilted neck.
I AM SOOOO STRESSED OVER THIS. IT TOOK ME 4 HOURS TO DO THIS! I NEED TYLENOL-LOTS OF TYLENOL

I dont see anything wrong with your presentation of this condition. Your spelling is totally correct, as with your paragraphs and your discription of torticollis is very clear. I dont see anything wrong with your explanation. I ask myself if im missing what your asking.......But from what i see, its great work for you to turn in. bettyk

I am a high school English teacher and I can honestly say you've done a pretty good job paraphrasing what you read. In your first sentence change "effects" to "affects" and in the last sentence of your first paragraph place either "a" or "the" in front of neck brace.

No, this isn't plagiarism because most of the words are your own. You probably only lack in self-confidence. You've done well for a first English paper in eleven years. Remember that the instructors at your college are there to help you so ASK, ASK, ASK!

Keep up the good work and build that self-confidence. You're going to do well in college and slow down on the Tylenol! Good luck to you! Annie

P.S. I was almost 40 when I graduated from college with my degree in Language Arts/Secondary Education. Would you believe I absolutely hated English in high school but over the last 15 years my students and I have a blast working on it!
