I really don't understand your question...Are the two of you broken up or are you guys planning on getting back together or what? I think being yourself around him and just showing him that you really do care about him would show him that you really do care for him. "Love" I don't know if you really love him, but you can show that you care for him and heck if you do love him he can see it through your actions. You can't buy him things or spoil him you just have to be yourself. Things will work out.

If you really love him you wouldn't have let him go so easily. So let him go and not encourage him with "I really do love you". Say "I'm sorry you feel that way but I'm moving on. Bye!"
