I am ready for the season to start now. There will be early success and a little slump, some will fall off the wagon the way they do every year. It will be a close 3 way race at the All Star break between the beloved Yankees, the wanting to be the Yankee Red Sox and the Jays. After the break the Yankees will pull ahead of the pack as always and make a significant trade at the deadline leaving Boston crying again. So I expect what I do every year. The Yanks to Win, Boston to Cry and everyone else to play and wish they were the Yankee's.

I am looking forward to the Yankees making a run at a 27th World Championship. Alex Rodriguez will likely emerge as the best power hitter. Jeter, Cano, and A-Rod will hit above .300. Pettitte could win 15 games. He may go 15-7 with a 3.69 ERA. Moose will likely lead the team in K's. Igawa may be a 14 game winner. If there is a 20 game winner, Wang or Pettitte may be the best candidates. Wang will likely win 15 games like Pettitte. Pavano may win 12 games. Wang and Pettitte may be the best pitchers in the Yankees. It is killing me waiting for the season to begin.

Yankee fan since 1976!

I'm actually looking forward to seeing how Torre handles Melky's ABs this season. Will he possibly be getting three starts in different parts of the OF every week?

We could see a lot of nifty in-game moves come the 8th and 9th innings when Melky pinch hits for a guy like Mentkiewicz and then replaces one of the regulars in the outfield for defensive purposes.

I personally want to see him play as often as possible. He's too talented a player to leave on the bench.

How about A-Rod? The guy has taken so much **** from the media and from every single fan and by now, he'll be able to handle it. Jeter never has a bad season and even if the Yanks lose their first 50 games and SI does an article calling them out, they'll still make the playoffs. Best team in all of sports. WORLD SERIES CHAMPS

P.S. Matsuzaka is an overrated tool

Our beloved Yankees will win the AL Pennant and go on to play the Phillies in the world series. It will be a classic 7 game series with the Yankees winning their 27th world championship. The series will go down in history as the greatest ever played.

i expect and think they will get a world series championship(finally)

i think their best guy will be jeter, he has been the most consistent shortstop in baseball over the past 10 years or so, why stop now? he is a guaranteed .300-20-90, 30 steal guy, and is a gold glove candidate every year, even though his defense has declined

i'm just as excited for the farm team as i am for the major league team because i live 10 minutes from the AAA team's stadium now that they've moved

Ching Meng Wang will be the Yankees Ace this year, either him or I'd love to see Andy Pettite come out of his slump and ace all of the AL.

On offense however its going to be Melky Cabrera who steps above the rest. Although I'd love to see Cano take charge on both offense and Defense this year.

Good Luck Yanks!

Even though I'm not a Yankee fan(Red Sox) I think that this years lineup may be one of, if not the best of all time. However the pitching situation is mediocre at best. They will be in the race all year though with that awesome hitting. I expect them and the Red Sox to make the playoffs.

I am also very excited. I expect lots out of the yanks(as u saw in my question).

I think that Philip Hughes will be a great pitcher, as long as he keeps on working on his curveball accuracy. I'm also ready to see Derek Jeter in action again.

Jorge Posada, as always, will of course be very efficient and stable.

Good Luck to the yankees! :)
