im doing an essay on gay marriage for school and i wonder what people's opians on the subject are. (i am very very pro gay marriage just so you know though i am hetero, i have gay friends and i see nothing wrong) i belive in equal rights and have the choice to do what we want. ( im pro abortion too though i would never do it , i belive in choices, but im getting off topic.) so i just want to know peoples opian on gay marriage and why people are for or agianst it.

Don't see any argument against it! No logical ones anyway that aren't blinded by judgement, discrimination and religion. xx

P.S. just like to add to what the people below ,e said. Unnatrual? Lots of animals are attracted to the same sex! And if its not natrual then why are they natrually attracted to same sex?! You think they're taking unatrual drugs or doing it deliberatly to stick out? Come on!

I think the main thing to understand here is the purpose of "marriage". A marriage is to build up a family, i.e. the basic unit of society. A marriage is a legal contract of union between two people to satisfy their basic needs in a rightful, legal way so that when offsprings are born out of this union, they can be provided an atmosphere of support and nurture. This is so that they can become mentally stable, sound and happy individuals when they grow up.
Where do we see all this in gay marriage? Moreover, anything which is against nature can be an ailment, an aberration, a psychological problem or a social problem or even a sin, but not an acceptable norm.

Well then, let's go over it. Gay men DO have the right to marry.....a woman. Gays want marriage so they can get the same benefits a married man and woman recieve. So when one of them contracts AIDS, insurance companies will have to pay for it. And that means YOU pay for it. You do know that gays are pushing for AIDS coverage, don't you? It is a way of forcing you to accept them. In all major religions, homosexuality is a sin, how can they expect to be married in a church or Synagogue?

Gay marriage is also a slap in the face to traditional marriage. They are pushing their lifestyle on you and demand that you accept it. Gays are not normal. The "alternative gay lifestyle" does not exist. Gayness is a mental disorder. There are plenty of recovered homosexuals that will admit this, and they are married and have children today. And if gays are able to marry soon, what's to stop the even sicker beastiality crowd from demanding to marry their dogs? No, this is not a joke.

You pro-gay people are falling right into their hands. Gays have equal rights. By demanding gay-specific things like gay marriage, they are demanding more rights than you.
