Before you get any animal please find out what they need, how big they get, how much mess they make, how will you dispose of it, what they eat and ask yourself can you give that animal what it needs?
Try thinking less about what you want and more about what they need.

Animal sanctuaries are bursting at the seams with unwanted pets, visit a few and see how big different breeds of pig get. Find out how strong they are. Ask questions of the staff and help muck them out.

Pigs need a movement licence from DEFRA, otherwise they can be seized and destroyed. Find out about that as well.

Pigs are very smart and can make a very good pet. Usually the pot belly pig are the smaller pig.

they're smart, and adorable, but search the internet for how LARGE they get!!

Alot of pigs start off real cute and small, and are sold as "dwarfs" but then end up in shelters and rescues because they grow huge and then their owners either don't know what to do with them or dont' want to deal with them.

Think thoroughly on this...They live a long time and it's a big committment...George Clooney's just died, and it was like 80 years old!

pigs don't make good pets unless you live on a farm and even then they still aren't the best of pets.

The dwarf breeds can if you have space. The normal breeds are just too big to keep as pets.
