An MP3 CD is a CD that stores music differently than a regular CD. On a regular CD the music is stored in the very large WAV format. Each song will take up around 40 megabytes. On an MP3 CD, the songs are compressed into MP3 format, and then take up less space. CD's are typically 700 megabytes, and MP3 songs are generally 3-5 megabytes, which means you can store around 200 songs. Another advantage of MP3 Cd's is that they will show the track name, artist, and album info when played. MP3 CD's are playable on all computers, and on some car stereos. You cannot assume that a CD player can play MP3 cds, because most do not. Hope this helps.
