Because Sehwag is a bowler and batsman both but Kaif not and you can not select a player in a team only because of his fielding.

Because Dravid thinks that Indian cricket Team is his paternal property. So, without any reason, he is continuing, along with is guru Chappel,the favouritism in selection of team. Dravid & Chappel are destroyer of "Team India".

Kaif is from UP , a state and its people being constantly neglected by people of Bombay which is full of regionalism and communalism by grace of Thackray. Had the BCCI headquarter been in Delhi , he would surely have been selected.

Kaif is not proved anything. Hindu - Muslim comes only Muslims case. Everywhere you want to add that idiot thing. Indian systems is polluted with this reservation system. You want to mix the sports also.

real story is this
while selection was finalised and only one spot was left
that was between sehwaag and kaif
then kaif got more votes in selector meeting
but dravid insisted that sehwaag is there in his game plan and he can't apply his worldcup plan without sehwaag
so despite kaif got more votes in selectors meeting he was not picked and sehwaag was picked
same thing happened with powar selectin, kumble was not selectors choice, it was dravid who choose him despite selectors first choice ramesh powar,
it appears dravid making a home team rather a country team
selection was made by monopoly not by proper method.

Zaheer,Munaf selected themselves on merit.
Sehwag and Irfan got selected due to their match winning potential.
Sehwag and Irfan are allrounders and no one else is available to replace them.
Kaif lost his place to Dinesh karthik.
Ramesh powar and Laxman too have better claims.
Don;t be partial..
